THE SOURCE WAY

At Source Agility we work with our clients as an Agile delivery performance partner.
The Source Agility Way involves taking stock of the current levels of delivery performance BEFORE introducing any changes to the way of working.
Below is the series of steps we take with clients along a lifecycle of a change journey towards higher levels of delivery performance.

SET THE VISION

Where you want to get to/what success looks like. Source Agility will facilitate a workshop to create a compelling picture of what the future could look like.

ASSESS PERFORMANCE

What are the delivery metrics and what are they telling us about our current level of performance?

CO-DESIGN THE MODEL

What are we proposing to change that we believe will uplift delivery performance; we create this with you.

MOBILISE THE CHANGE

Usually this is the easy part, energy and excitement as we try out new ways of working. Source Agility helps with consulting and coaching support.

EMBED/SCALE THE CHANGE

This is where the change encounters resistance and the real work (of change) is done. Source Agility ensures a data-driven approach to scaling. Making a case for bigger change should be done utilising the delivery performance metrics established at the start of the change lifecycle.

SUSTAIN THE CHANGE

During this stage Source Agility steps back and hands over ownership to the organisation. We then move onto the next area of the organisation or finish up our engagement. What is left behind is a delivery performance management model with measures and data to help enable continuous improvement.

We specialise enabling high-performance technology delivery systems

Most (85%+) organisations have adopted Agile in some way to enable technology. The industry is now realising that adopting Agile methods and language does not improve IT delivery performance.

What is required to enable a high-performance Agile IT delivery system is the removal of the constraints or impediments to the flow of work.

At Source Agility we focus on discovering where these impediments are and then working with management to remove them, enabling healthy high-performing Agile delivery teams.

Finding the waste in the system

Source Agility is often called in to enable higher levels of performance within an agile delivery system. But where across dozens of teams and multiple layers of the organisation is the root cause of under-performance?

This case study showcases how we assessed an agile system; real data is provided (anonymised) with examples of how we mapped the flow of value across a large system.
